Ask a CO: On covering blaze orange
https://oodmag.com/ask-a-co-on-covering-blaze-orange/
A reader asks if it's illegal to cover your blaze orange vest/coat with a blanket or sleeping bag to stay warm.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.
-- "The Circus Animals’ Desertion" by William Butler Yeats

Speaking of blaze orange - years ago there was no requirement to wear any colored clothes when hunting - something like orange was considered bad for hunting because deer could spot you a mile away - when I was discharged from the Army I had a brown field jacket and a pile cap with fur on the ear flaps - almost dressed like a deer - didn't have any insulated boots just had rubber goolushes over regular shoes - man you talk about cold feet - things sure have changed -
