Late season here we go
Well, here we go late season is upon us. In 92B this week is the last muzzleloader week. Bows only opens up again on Dec 09th to the 31st. Its ben years since I have still had my archery tag this late. I'm looking forward to the challenge of harsh weather and zero cover. I'm going to focus on afternoon hunts only trying to intercept a deer from bed to food. Mornings dont work well for my little pice of private I can hunt on.
If I don't happen to connect, I have had a great time hunting in 2024 and will give it my best shot until the end.
Good luck to those still at it!

I still have a couple tags left, one local and one up north. locally I have gotten deer right up till the second last day of season so don't give up. This is my last season hunting this bush, as property has been sold, so I'd like to finish off with 2 this year out of that bush.

I like winter hunting, most days I have the entire forest tract to myself.

One last kick at the can for me this Saturday afternoon and a slim chance of maybe getting out on the last day Dec 31st.
Going to be -6 with a north wind so I have all the heated gear ready to go.
My cams have shown zero movement lately. When you expect to see nothing sometimes you see something... lol

I have 4 days left in me. I have been getting a few pictures. One was 2 small bucks about 3pm the next day I had 6 Does and fawns feeding in front of my camera. So I'm hopeful.

Good luck to those that are still able to hunt.

Made it out 2x over the holidays. First sit freezing cold and no deer seen. Second sit a bit warmer hunting on the ground had a buck come by 5min of legal shooting time and unfortunately he seen me move in for a shot and bolted.
Had some nice tag soup on new year's day! lol
Looking forward to Oct 01 2025...
