Hi All, heading up to Bancroft area, staying on paudaush lake. Wondering if anyone is willing to tell me of any walleye lakes in the area, that may be worth trying. Not looking for honey holes, just some lakes that may be worth spending some time on. Thank you.

I'm fairly certain that Walleye is closed until May in that zone. There's lots of Trout lakes that are accessible. Some lakes have lots of snow with thin ice underneath. Be careful.

In looking through the regs, I think you are mistaken with saying Walleye is closed. There looks like there is an exception on one lake.

You're right. FMZ 15 shows Walleye open Jan 1 until March 15.

I've heard there are a few lakes around where people have had some luck with walleye. It might be a good idea to chat with some local anglers when you're there-they often know the best spots.
