Since the Trudeau government came into power, gun violence involving criminals has noticeably increased. Instead of cracking down on lawbreakers, the focus seems to be on targeting law-abiding gun owners.

Maybe it’s time to get serious about keeping violent offenders behind bars.

Take the tragic case of the Nova Scotia shooter. Trudeau initially claimed the firearms were sourced from Canadian hunters and farmers. That turned out to be false—the killer had smuggled them in from the U.S. Even worse, the RCMP had received multiple reports that this individual had illegal firearms, and that he had even built a near-perfect replica of a police cruiser—yet they failed to act.

This wasn’t just a local policing failure. The RCMP reports to the federal government. That means accountability ultimately rests with Ottawa.
As with most things the is never one solution to a problem it involves change from all contributary sources no mater how small or large the perceived impact. Yes if the rules are not followed or being followed harsher and harsher consequences should be invoked until compliance achieved.

the amount of effort and money spent on harassing law abiding gun owners could be much more effective it focused on criminals and illegal guns. It just proves to me that while they claim its for public safety, in reality its for political gain and the goal of ultimate disarmament of civilians.

Punishing good people does not stop bad people. In less than 20 years semi and pump shotguns will also be banned.

I already had predicted the last gun grabs on here years ago.

The ultimate end game of the Liberals is to fully ban all firearm ownership. This was a said by Allan Rock

April 25, 1994, he was quoted as saying:

"I came to Ottawa with the firm belief that the only people in this country who should have guns are police officers and soldiers

The Liberals are well on their way to accomplishing this.

The majority of those guns that were banned were 223 cal not even as powerful as most deer and moose rifles, mostly adequate for yotes, possibly deer if your a crack shock.

It won't be long now before many of the firearms range club start closing with out handguns many will be finished.

"This is about unenforceable registration of weapons that violates the rights of people to own firearms."—Premier Ralph Klein (Alberta)Calgary Herald, 1998 October 9 (November 1, 1942 – March 29, 2013) OFAH Member

I hope your right that we get 20 years, somehow I think it will be much less than that and we will be hunting with bows and air guns (if were even trustworthy enough to have those). Then again with the knife bans in Manitoba, we might not have knives to butcher with either.

Don't forget our scope mounted "sniper"rifles. They'll be next.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
