    Default spring season over

Well, it wasn't for a lack of no time to hunt this year, but the toms just were not in the area (68b) I hunt this year. I got out at least 10 times from morning to evening, just no sounds or sightings. I did have a tom once at high noon come through on 2 cams in the middle of the month and the odd hens, but that was it. Mosquitos were only nuts once, otherwise it wasn't bad.
Got a new deer stand up, 10' high on 4x4 posts, 5' square inside with a 5'x3' porch on the back. Decided to put in stairs instead of a ladder as we are getting up in age and there are some 3rd gen kids that are going to be playing out there soon hopefully.
Should be a busy summer cutting trails, have 2 more new blinds to build, and fishing in the area for walleye, bass and trout.
Just gotta get the honeydew stuff done the next 2 weeks or so and I am good to go.
