PAL
For all the horror stories I have heard about the waits for the PAL I have to say it seems reasonable. The application was received by them 28 days ago and today it has been issued. Now, as long as it is mailed in reasonable timefram I think it should be here soon.
I can't wait.

Lol ur record must be sweaky clean mine is on day 44 now because of a very minor indiscretion on my app. But i didnt want to lie to them so gave em full disclosure and been talking with the constable assigned to me and everything should be good( knock on wood). Just waiting for him to call back today. But ill tell you this. Since i sent my app in i have called at least once a week to try to push my app thru quickly and its a good thing i did because half the time i call they say they will take the next step instantly. Example when i called a few weeks ago to check the status the rcmp transferred me to do my interview which had i not called who knows how long i would have waited to hear from them. So dont be afraid to call just be respectful and nice and they will be more than happy to help push it along.

I didn't require interveiw and my references were not contacted. I guess I was just lucky.
Now I will be like a kid waiting for Christmas day until that damn card comes.

Took 10 days from the day I sent in my renewal to the day I received it. They called me to as how long I was unemployed for (there is a box to check if you have been laid off). I told them approx 1 day. I also mentioned that there is no place to note when you found employment. Told them my wife was expecting their call as well (they use to call the spouse). The CFO said they don't do that anymore.
