    Default 2013 Speck Dreaming

Maybe there are a few others out there like myself. Most of your spring, summer, and fall spare time revolves around Speck/Brookie fishing. Winter has you tied down with other obligations that keep you off the ice. It's downtime from one of your favorite past times. BUT, you may be already dreaming and planning for the spring. Let's hear from some of us dreamers on where they will be heading in 2013. Myself, I am debating a late May trip to the Agawa River basin in the Algoma or heading west to give Lake Nipigon my first try. How about others, where do you want to wander off too?

So where'd you end up going.. and how was the trip? I've personally done lots of spec fishing all southern ontario, central ontario, and northern ontario as well! Fished the agawa's headwaters.. Biggest trout I had were in a river that flows into the missinabi had some nice 2lb+ specs average in there was from 12inch to 18inches.. Biggest we got was around 18 inches but we herd they're in there up to 25 inches! Amazing catches. Best time I found up there for specs is mid june and mid-late september!

    Cheers-
