Moosebunk: Man oh Man. That picture with the red char on the river is incredible. That must have been a hell of a trip.
Stykker: buddy of mine Steve was pickeral fishing late fall in the middle of Lake Ontario down near Alymer. Fought a monster for 1/2 half hour and it turned out to be a 35lb sheephead (drum).. He was dissapointed but the sheephead picture is classic.
Sheephead are strange. My brother caught one in the grand river, picked it up to take the hook out and where he touched it he got strange skin infection/irritation and had to go to the doctor for some cream.
OK - My last sheephead story. I was bass fishing on a charter in longpoint bay with some organized work thing.
We caught a lot of bass with soft shell crabs but nothing big. At the end of the charter I caught a 3 lb sheephead and put it into my buddy's tackle box. He phoned me 2 weeks later knowing who would do such a nasty thing.
