    Bellwood lake. I've taken carp from there, and it tastes good, since Belwood lake is an artificial lake, deep and not muddy& weedy like Rice lake. Another place is Indian River, which flows to Rice Lake in the north.

    We used to catch them in Newmarket. Just north on Main Street. There's a river.
    Up until about 10 years ago. The area got ridiculously polluted.

    The very last time I was there, my buddy remarked "there's everything in this river but a kitchen sink" and honest to God, no word of a lie, as we rounded the corner a few moments later, there was ACTUALLY a kitchen sink sitting in the river.

    The Otonabee River along Water St. in the North end of Peterborough is a very good spot. Lots of places to just pull your vehicle up to the river edge, unload your stuff and start fishing.

    Bowmanville creek, behind the railroad station south of 401 or walk up from the west beach road were it crosses the river. Wander the west side of the water, throw back any rainbow or atlantics
