Lodge Recommendations Up North
Thinking about heading up north to get into some easy fishing and dumb birds one of these autumns. Anyone with recommendations?
Need a place with decent ATV trails, lots of birds to get into and easy walleye/smallmouth fishing. No need for fanciness, but a clean place at a fair price which offers decent meals.
Thinking Temagami, but totally open. Do not want to drive more than 6 hours though.
Recommendations??

Have you considered the Rock Pine Motel just south of Temagami? Great access to hundreds of miles of ATV trails and back lakes.

Thanks FF. Never heard of this one. Have you stayed there before? Can't tell if it's on the water? Do they rent boats?

May be a bit further than you want to drive but Red Pine Lodge on Lake Ivanhoe is a good spot.

I have stayed there several times, they're right on the highway south of Temagami. Not sure if they rent boats but they are on water, Martin River, some pretty good fishing all around them. Many lakes close by for walleye, pike and bass. The Rabbit Lake Road a short drive from the motel offers many miles of ATV trails and some great fishing.

Thanks Fishy and FF.
FF, was not sure from the website if the Rock Pine Motel was on the water....but looks like it is. I was really thinking more of a cottage/cabin to stay in the but the pricing of the motel is definitely appealing
