If that tag is NOT notched and you get stopped with that bird, you will burn just as bad as if you did not tag it.
And if you also get caught not reporting, expect to lose your licence for abit.
A guy got pinned for not reporting a bird last year in Cayuga and got fined and a 3 yr hunting suspension..

I pretty sure they ask if it's a juvenile or an adult.

People, it takes 10 minutes or less to tag your bird. Do yourselves a favor and follow the rules. Tag your bird, call it in, and report the # down.

I dont think anyone said they wouldn't tag/notch or report a bird. The post was to show how flawed the tagging system is.

You're dealing with the govt here, don't give them too much credit lol

Just for the record I hate our new tag system. Never realized how bad my eyesight is getting until I tried reading the dates on my turkey tags LOL License issuers are further and farther between. if the computer system goes down there is no way to purchase licenses. No more hard copies of hunting/fishing regs available unless you print them. I can keep going but typically not a whiner and negs by far out weigh the pos's for us users of the new tag system.

The game is more fun when you play by the RULES.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
