This is a 12 footer, I got the 14 which is the same, but with more front/back cargo space. Should keep my cameras safe and dry. Plan/hope to take it out on Lake O for some Kings probably later when they are closer to shore. Might be useful this fall for some WFing as well.

Just tickled to be back on the water

It works and saves maintenance, towing, etc, etc, thats all I need to go fishing

Glad to hear it went well. Now just little projects through sumer and time to enjoy it and some fishing.

Do you guys think it would be good to have a lake Ontario salmon fishing section on the forum? So we can post report, location, time, lure, depth and so on.... A bit like the LOU forum. Not sure how many of us would be interested or do fish for salmon but I would be one of them.

Have fished the salmon hunt for a number of years and once placed in the top ten. I buy my ticket because you never know when the big one will hit however last year was the first year I did not buy a ticket. One of their rules is everyone in the boat must have a ticket to participate regardless if they fish or not. Last year my 10 year old son wanted to come fishing checked with the salmon hunt and they said if I wanted him in the boat it would cost me a full ticket for him. I explained to them I understood a 2 man team fishing 4 rods should pay to play however a dad fishing with an inexperienced minor should be given a break. They said no so I boycotted the hunt as they don't support teaching the young and inexperienced.

    I hear you.....

I have been buying a ticket for my son (last 3 years) $100 a pop.... He is only 10 now so another $100 again for him this year...I love fishing with him... You would think it would be a little cheaper for parent and minor to fish together in the derby...

Good luck this year to everyone

WooHoo, sitting in my hotel in Istanbul, waiting on Aeroplan to confirm they get the wife and I home on Monday .... Which means I can be out fishing Tuesday next week!!!

We had a great 10th anniversary cruise and now are just wanting to get back home to our boys.

HunterDave, if you get the chance to get out with JeffB, take him up on it. He took me out twice last year and we got into some good fish and some great memories. He's a stand up guy and I can't wait to reciprocate with trips on my new boat.

You also have an open invitation on my boat as well. I launch out of Lakefront Promenade.

I'm in for a Lake O section on the board as well.
