no bands in 15+ years. I don't think they are real, just like unicorns.
But there is a goose with a neck band that lives outside the loblaws on hwy 2 and whites rd, well at least for the past 3 years

We have gotten 11 bands so far , furthest band was Nunavut James bay bird .

No duck bands in 20 years of hunting ducks. Then I got 2 ducks bands in the last 3 years. Guess hunting mallards helps.

I took a banded mallard a few mornings ago. He was this years bird - apparently banded only 5 km from the area we hunted. Not many ducks get banded around here, so it was a cool surprise !

2 thus far. 1 banded in Tillisonburg. other banded in mooseonee.

Assuming your location is correct (Ottawa) I would have to disagree with you. Lots of duck banding get's done in and around Ottawa by CWS. MNR Airboats do a pretty good job at hitting the area around Ottawa too, they probably have 4-5 regular locations within 1.5hrs of Ottawa.

thanks for the info...I am aware there is local banding...relatively not on a large scale as compared to some southern Ont locations I meant. I have only shot 3 banded puddlers in my 20 years hunting around here.

I'm at 4 honker bands so far for this year, would be nice to get a duck band before the year is out!!
I love fishing but REALLY it is just a way to pass time until hunting season!!!!
