Default More info on lost but rescued dog

To fill you in a few guys went on an ATV ride a few days back and saw lost freezing and starving pooch at a remote camp but didnt have the means to take it back out with them without a second passenger. A thread was posted and a few other ATVers wanted to go back to see if they could rescue this dog, which they did.

This is the latest info so hopefully somebody here will know or be familiar with this camp.

    "Excellent Job !
We checked the collars for any information and there was nothing.
I really thought the radio collar he was wearing would have had something on it.
The name of the camp was "Stagger In""

Another happy ending! GOOD JOB to everybody involved. Too bad the radio collar wasn't GPS equipped. You could have replaced the battery then sat back to see who showed up. SCOOPED!

Lot of misconceptions on that other forum. Couldn't even read through them all

Possibly, but these are the same misconceptions shared by all that aren't hunters using these dogs. Not good for hunters, and even worse for the poor dogs. I can see regulations coming in down the road, or the loss of using dogs all together.

Once again passing judgment without all the facts seems like that guy on that forum named senior has some common sense.
It has a tracking collar so it wasn't left to die it probably got out of range or the batteries died and it wandered into that camp that does not mean that it was left to starve to death. Good job on those guys going to get it
last50h_302 was it you that found the dog ?
