I just picked this unit up. Had it out for first time yesterday and got 3 rainbow. Like jrgreenbird says, its took a while to figure it out, even after reading the manual, but worked great once set up. I still need to play around with the sensitivity, but playing around is a good way to learn the unit. Dont like the transducer set up, and need to find better chart maps. Anyone know where to get free maps?

i got this unit a few weeks ago, i used it for boq walleye and yesterday for whities up north, the split screen flasher mode helped me get those pesky whities of bottom, just as i though i had tried everything, turn on the flasher mode and lives good again! love this unit and amazing sale price, especially with the rebate!

Having trouble with mine. The depth and water temp on the screen continually flash and never change. And the display is now showing the true depth.
Have tried resetting but nothing different.
I guess could be the transducer, but not sure.
Thoughts?

From what I gather the ice transducer doesn't have the probe for water temperature so I just turned mine off.

I used mine today fishing for lakers. This is my first unit so I am new to ice units. I was fishing in about 100 feet of water and at about 40 feet my lure disappeared from the screen. Now is it just because the unit isn't strong enough to pick up my lure at that depth or is it a problem with my settings. I tried to zoom in and also turned up my sensitivity but I couldn't see my lure even 20 feet off the bottom.
