2014 three shot challenge
Another new year is upon us. The Sun is shining and as far as a winter day goes, today is a good one. So let the 2014 THREE SHOT CHALLENGE commence.
The Rules
1. Target of your choice set out at 50 yds.
2. Your choice of muzzle loader / sight system.
3. No slings, sticks, sand bags or any support system. All shots to be fired Standing Off Hand.
4. Three shots only.
5. Post a picture of your target(s). Indicate your load. i.e. powder type / volume, bullet type / weight, etc
6 Have fun and make some smoke!!!

Not too shabby, Aaron! You just reminded me that I have some sabots to try with .44 cal 205 gr lead bullets.

HA...any reason you shot closer to the bull, with the same load, while free standing (over shooting from the bench) ??? ..LOL...

Well I beat the path down yesterday when I was shooting the 45-70 so I figured I would take advantage of that and do something that I haven't done in a while.
So here's my entry for March.
Lyman Great Plains Hunter in .50 cal Percussion, 1:32 twist
CCI # 11 Caps
100 gr 3F GOEX
220 gr PR Dead Center saboted .40 cal

Not bad considering it has been a while.
