marshes in amherstburg
hey guys iam new to water fowling and looking into places where i can go using either public water and or the conservation area. id rather be doing public land so i can go when ever i want ect. ive been doing research around our area and noticed a ton of marsh just outside Amherstburg and iam wondering if there is any public marsh i cna hunt there ! i know a ton of the marsh is owned by some american hunt club and i guess ERCA. any information on this area would be really helpful

I think you can still rent blinds at Holiday Beach.
I don't think ERCA will allow you to hunt their property.

yah i know i can rent blinds through erca at holiday beach but iam curious about the big creek, i know it goes out pretty far from that area then branches off i could access it form different roads and such if its not privately owned. sothats what iam trying to figure out if its private or public land

That area is locked up pretty good and everybody knows what is going on where when it comes to hunting, I know lots of the land owners and I can't get a place to hunt,best bet is Holiday beach or try and find a place in the lake far enough from houses.

ugh alright i guess ill have to find new areas, sometimes i wish they made a website that showed waht is private and what is public land and who owns what it would make life a tad easier. who you guys know if the thames river off shoots are owned by people or is that public

You would be best to check with the relevent conservation authorities or municipality. Last I checked the crown use atlas does not show much of southern ontario.
Not that I care, but the more you talk about specific spots on the web, the more guys you will see next year.
