    I stopped at the MNR in Minden yesterday and managed to talk to the area biologist. He had along name for it, but he says it's basically a harmless parasite that's very common in the haliburton area lakes. Does not affect the flesh of the fish, his nickname for them was hitchhikers. Later that day I caught a 24" laker with no hitch hikers attached. Thanks for all the replies.
