I have not used one myself but I read a book that discusses the Montana, and full size decoys for whitetails. The book is one of three written by John Eberhart (not Eberhart decoys as that company is just waterfowl) I beleive the book is called Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails, in it he discusses the use and merits of each decoy. He liked the Montana best for whitetails due to its portability.

    Hope that helps.

They work, couple buddies got charged by the bull, they were behind the decoy, when he seen movement, he must have assumed competition from another bull. They will come in down wind just like a deer. Do they work everytime? nope. But they do work sometimes.

Do not know about moose but a friend of mine uses a decoy for deer, I believe he calls it a Cammier deer and has had great success using it.

I was thinking about getting the deer too but with this moose hunt we have booked, I'm pretty pumped to finally chase them with a bow. I've called lots in while gun hunting but I'm just looking for something to draw them in that extra few yards.

I bought one and was very disappointed in it. It looks like a miniature Moose. The detail looks good from around 4 or 5 feet, not sure a Moose could make out any of the detail. Its still in the box, never even took it up with me.

I haven't used one yet, but I just bought the Montana II...too many times over past two years that it would have helped. Only way that I can see it hindering a hunt is if it gets human or any contaminating scent on it.
