    I've been seeing huge toms on our farm in the kawartha lakes what's the biggest bird anybody's shot in the area?

    Every one has their own way of judging a turkey. Weight, spurs, bread length or an aggregate of all three. Check out the turkey contest thread to get an idea of turkey variables. No matter how you score them they are all trophies and taste the same to boot.

    I killed a 43lb tom this fall.... I crawled under the fence. Grabbed its legs. Carried it to my shed and slit its throat...

    A big one in our area (CKL) would be 25 lbs - we've come close but never topped it. We still get some pretty harsh winters so I would guess your best chance at a real whopper would be in S ON
