    Default Snow day

I've just about had enough of all this snow. I shoveled 3 times today and you can't even tell. Jake seems to be enjoying it though, here's some shots from today out playing in the yard. I have never owned a dog that loves the snow so much, he buries his face in it and rolls around in it constantly. I always throw snow at him with the shovel because he loves jumping at it and trying to bite it in the air lol. It's been like pulling teeth to get our other dog to even relieve herself in this weather.

I thoroughly agree with you. If it isn't 30 below with the wind chill it is snowing so hard you can't see your hand infront of your face. The dogs are getting a little shackwacky but it is just too hard on them to run in the deep snow and where there is no snow there is a layer of ice.
Great pictures of Jake. My girls are in season so my male does not even get to go with them when Rand puts out the turkey feed. Watching the turkeys and birds at the feed is better entertainmant than TV right now.

I hear ya, he's getting to the point where I wanna throttle him hahaha. The original plan was to take him for a walk in the bush this morning but when I woke up to this blizzard I quickly changed my mind. He's past the stir crazy stage, he's downright annoying right now hahaha. Hopefully it lets up soon so I can get him out to blow off some steam. Today helped, while I shoveled he ran around and played in the snow so it took a bit of the edge off.

Spring is going to mean a lot more to us this year. I've enjoyed watching the rabbits feed at my rabbit feeder. Took my 2 setters out TO DAY for 20 minutes. They had a great time.

My 8 month old JRT needs to get out everyday no matter what. I've been taking him to one of our 3 dog parks. SHOCK!!!! He loves it and gets good exercise - much better than a walk around the block. Deep field snow is too much for him.

It was actually bearable here today. Took the knucklehead for 1.5 hour run in the woods. Without the wind it was actually nice out in the forested areas. Cold doesn't bother him at all.

Well we got about another 10" yesterday, I wish it would stop for awhile. I try and do some drills with the pup on the driveway but the older ones are past that stage. I usually get them on the tread mill and then take them for a walk, so that seems to help with the energy level.

That's what I do ; get through the fields as fast as possible and head for the woods. Amazing difference.

Django loves the colder weather. Even during the -32 weather, he wants to go out. He HAS to go for daily exercise otherwise he drives me nuts all day. Would not be so bad were it not for the very large field we have to cross in order to get to the forested area. Brr... Getting cold just thinking about it...
