I had read something similar on another site that Savage was up to its neck in orders for guns (particularly the new Bmag .17 cal), and that it wasn't practical to set up to produce the 10ML-ll in small volume runs any more as they had done in the last few years, even though people had signed up on a waiting list to get one. The demand for their mainstream models takes precedent. It's too bad for shooters, but a good position for a company to be in when product demand exceeds availability.

Don't know where you got that info from , as other companies still build them but not as many as Savage did , Go to Randy Wakemans site and get all the info from it , the link is there.

Yup that's it . Reclassification and production cost's . Buy em if you can find them.

Yes I’m a 10ML-II owner for years and have excellent deer hunts with it and plan to still have many more God Willing.
4759 has been a great powder to use with the 10ML-II but even this powder is going to be discontinued later this year. If this is your powder of choice for your 10ML-II you may want to consider stocking a few pounds before the year’s end.

From what I saw in clips from the 2014 Shot Show...the industry is alive and well. There have been more gun sales in the past year than ever before (lots of stock pilling due to fear mind you )

I remember reading awhile back that the 'smokeless' Muzzleloader industry was getting wary with lawsuits mounting. It may be just coincidence but Savage had been slowing production of the 10ML-11 back in 2010 around the time they began having problems with TobyBridges. Who knows what went on behind the closed boardroom doors.

I was wondering why this is news now, I thought Savage did their final production run back in 2011 ?
