That sounds pretty stupid.
Are you telling me you've never lost anything of value? I think what we need is honest people who will return what's not theres for free... No strings attached. How does it affect you whether or not someone eles takes good care of there stuff?

Wow, I take it you've never had a bad day in the marsh! Sometimes "stuff" happens. Way to crap on a nice gesture!

Are you saying dont return it to the owner without making them pay?
You have got to be kidding me. If you found something of mine and told me to pay to get it back, id pay you thats for sure. But not with money.
I remember a coulpe years ago someone tried that with a guy around town. This random guy found someones cellphone, and when the owner of the cellphone went to see this guy to get it back, the guy wanted like $300 otherwise he wouldnt return his phone. Well needless to say, that guy never got $300, but he got his arse handed to him, a bloody face and a broken ego.

Wow! Would never think my post will provoke so angry reaction. Seems like all of you just read the first sentence of the post and started to scream right away. I didn't say 'pay for the return', but i said make something good for the community as the response to a good gesture. Big difference, I think.
I would never ask for the money to pay in return to lost stuff. Actually, I had never sold even my own things... If I need it I keep it, if not - give it away to somebody how needs it.
Anyways... I really regret about this post. Would never think it will look that bad. But probably it is, as many people react this way....Really sorry.

Never claimed. Coming up on a year since I found it. Looks like I'll have to buy a new gun to make use of what I found....

Did you leave a note where you found the item?
