Are you sure you have a Brittany and not some sort of "Poo". Haha Mine sheds like crazy lots of sweeping lots of vacuuming.

Well he looks like a Brittany, acts like a Brittany but sheds very little. Maybe I feed him well....lol

I bought one of those battery powered Dyson Slim vaccuums and it does the job quite well. I'm pretty sure they make a similar vaccuum that is specially made for pet hair.
I find that lab hair is a different texture and tends to stick to everything.
I have a GSP and although she does shed, she sheds NOTHING like by brothers two labs do.
Funny thing about all those mix-breed "poo" dogs....they shed too!

x2 on the Ferminator/iRobot combo....really helps to control the hair. BTW, you can find some pretty good deals on Ferminators on eBay.
