Actually you don't have lots of time. Spring is coming. You will need to get a shotgun and find a farmer where you can go crow shooting (to save his corn crop). You will need to get a couple of guns and learn how they shoot. Find someone with a beagle and get out after bunnies. Soon the groundhogs will be out, another rifle.....
Time is not on your side. Do it now while you still have your youth and build up enough memories to last thru your time in the "home"...
In the meantime there are kids and a wife to take camping with you as you scout out a spot to moose hunt...

they will both love it ... i take the youngest out all the time she couldnt be any happier ( shoving her head in groundhog holes and digging) .
But i was thinking of not turkey hunting this spring...Just find a good spot to scout and hunt... get things ready for fall . i know from hunting out east we planed our hunts in the spring for fall . Maybe a Bad plan to do that or Good either way I am Happy !
