I agree with what Scott says 100%. But if money is an object, for about $300, you can buy an H&R Ultra slug hunter deluxe, and have the same kind of results. Only thing is, it's a single shot. I have two, in 12 and 20, and love them. The 20 is my favourite though.

I have a 12 guage 870 smoothbore with a rifle sighted slug barrel that is very accurate with 2.75" challengers. Just picked up a cantilevered rifled slug barrel for my 20 guage 870 but haven't had a chance to wring it out yet. B525

Yep Rob, I am definitly a convert to the 20 ga, those 3" accutips are tough to find though (I've managed to stockpile 20 boxes so I'm good for a few years
)

The 220 savage is unreal. You get what you pay for. I bought the stainless barrel with camo synthetic. Last slug gun I will ever buy. Devastating and accurate out past 200 yards....especially with my DOA 3x9.
If there's one thing I have learned about guns...it's buy your last gun first.

870, rifled barrel, sabot slugs, should cost around $700-800 brand new. Very accurate...check out my video on the big game page to see the accuracy in action

Those are the 2 best right there, unless you can get a deerslayer II
