Any Sylvan Super Snapper owners - help locating bilge pump
Hi,
New boat owner stupid question #2...
I'm looking for some advice from any Sylvan owners as to where the bilge pump is located? What I originally thought was the bilge pump was - is actually the live well pump.
I can see the bilge pump hose - but for the life of me can't locate the pump, and not sure how to access it if needed? Any thoughts?
Thanks

I don't own a Sylvan but the pump should be at the stern close to the transom? It may be forward a frame , but it should be back there somewhere?

Tubing will bring you to the pump. Purchase an inspection camera that are usually on sale somewhere for less than $100 (you can always return it) and run the camera head alongside the intake hose until you see the pump. Problem resolved!

Has too much time on their hands
Are u sure that yellow thing isn't your bilge pump? Kinda looks like mine..
Try clicking the bilge on.. See if you can hear it.. It should be right in the back.. As water naturally goes to the back.

Can't find a dedicated switch to the bilge, I'd assumed that it was a float switch/system? Am I wrong? There looks like a dedicated switch for nav lights and live well. Is it possible they would run the live well and bilge off the same switch? Also, the yellow pump has tubing running around to the live well - which is visible (poor) in the top right of my pic above.

Update - after some investigation and testing (small bucket of water) .... that outlet tube on the bottom right of the first pic, and also the pic from under the seat is actually the drain pipe for the live well. It doesn't appear as I have a bilge pump. So now I guess the question is should I get one, any recommendations from the group? Suggestions on mounting/installation?
Cheers

????? Does your live well have a spray bar on top? In other words, if you look inside your live well does it have just the drain at the bottom or another hole / attachment closer to the top?

Here is a pic from the inside... The black tubing on the left hand side is the overflow outlet that runs out of the side of the boat (if that answers your question).
