Has too much time on their hands
New coyote rig on the way
I got a rem 742 in 6 mm on the way anybody have info on rate of twist and best bullet weight for these auto loaders .will mostly be used for coyote and once a year deer hunt up north. Thanks dutch

I think it's a 1-9 twist, but I could be wrong. There was a time when the 6mm Rem was a 1/12 or 1/14(if I remember correctly) and Win came out with the .243 with like a 1/10 for heavier deer loads. As a result the 6mm Rem almost disappeared.
I think you probably have a 742 with a newer twist rate of 1/9. If so the heavier for caliber bullets will likely shoot better(from 58 gr to to 105, 107 gr.)likely the 75-107 gr will do the best.
It has the same ballistics/bullet as the .243 Win.
