I can see how one could be charged for using roads that have been closed. But I can't see any way how the charges would stick if the hunter in question walked into an area or canoed into an area.

Most road closures are for motorized vehicles so you can walk in(I think) Or you can carry your cartop boat on your shoulders through a few kms of bush and then fish your once favorite lake.

What about a mountain bike with a canoe trailer on a closed road? - not motorized
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

This is an example of how some of the signs are written:
Use of this road to access Bobtail lake is prohibited.
I made up the name of the lake but that is how many of the signs read. Sometimes they will list a series of lakes and streams that are found along a particular roadway. Other times the roads are just plain closed to vehicles.

Has too much time on their hands
Sounds to me like you can't even walk down that road.. Walk down the aide of the road or something... Who maintains these roads?

Some signs may say no access to such and such lakes,
You may also come across a sign that looks something like this. Or exactly like this. This was taken while on a Moose hunt in the middle of nowhere.

You'd be making at least 2 possibly 3 trips with one guy in each canoe to haul the beast out.
This a small moose in a big boat !!..it took 3 guys to load it...even quartered up you'd have a heck of a load for a canoe....

hey can I borrow your boat? if moose jump in like that can you image what a fleet would do
