I am trying to find a place where I could hunt fox, either a farm or public land in simcoe county?

Go to the farms and ask them... They won't come to you...no idea about public land there...

fox are really scarce around here, I saw one last week ,crossed our field . As long as he is healthy , I will leave him alone. Haven't shot one for quite a few years. Old 243

We shot two males so far this season and and saw two yesterday while yote hunting. They are scare but in our area there is a couple of small cedar bush lots with a lot of stumps that holds them. You can find them easier now with mating season. Look for their tracks crossing roads same as you would for yotes.

I saw one sunning himself on the south side of a hill while Turkey hunting on a farm near here.. tried to get close enough to take a bow shot.. got busted by 6 Geese that came flying overhead.. no shot but very cool to watch him sleeping in the sun ..

Why would anyone hunt them if they are scarce ? Hunt coyotes instead !

I was recently hunting small game on crown land. I came across a trapper and we got to chatting. I told him I was hunting fox. He told me there were two in the entire area. He says the coyotes have pretty much gotten rid of all of them. I decided to switch to coyote. I'll let the foxes have a chance at repopulation.
