homemade snaros?
how hard do you gents think it would be to make your own snaros from field tips? any ideas on wire types? im thinking that if I drill two holes straight through the field tip and then ran some wire so I ended up with two loops each hole then jb weld/ epoxy or tac weld the wire into place that should work right? I only ask because the only way id be able to get screw in snaro heads would be to order them straight from snaro as my local archery shop only has the glue on type which im a little leary of and field tips and wire are pretty cheap. any one with experience on this or even any one with ideas please feel free to leave me some feedback or advice. thanks in advanced

I've made my own before. I didn't take the extra time to drill out the field point but rather just bent the wire in a tight loop in the middle and screwed the point through it. Spring steel wire is what I used. A buddy that works at Bell gave me a bunch of it. They use it for little flags to mark underground lines. Like most big companies they only use it once so he had lots of little flaggies for me to play with.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I made some years ago and just used that same spring steel. I drilled the holes in the field points and cut the points off to make them flat. They worked ok but never flew as nice as the store bought ones.
