During energetic exercise, otherwise healthy dogs will suddenly experience limb weakness and fall down. EIC has been associated with a mutation in the dynamin 1 protein but also appears in dogs without the mutation. Dr. Ned Patterson, working with CHF Clinician-Scientist Fellow Dr. Eva Furrow, found that some dogs who experience collapse may have a unique disease.
