Default draw weight at more then max draw weight?

hey guys, so my question tonight is in regard to max draw weight and when its to much? I have a 2006ish pse beast with a max draw weight of 60 pounds. I have the bow set to the max draw weight.. or so I thought, I went to friends place today to do some archery practise and before we began I wanted to see what my draw weight actually was so we attached the bow to a scale that's hung from the roof and attaches to the loop you put your release on. and it turns out that my draw weight is 64 pounds, should I be de tuning it a bit or will it be fine at 4 pounds over the max draw weight? I have no issues drawing it at 64 pounds but im more so worried about bow wear and tear or possible bow explosion or damage? thanks in advanced for any insight

It's perfectly fine, normal and safe. Bows maxed out with good strings are always 2 to 4 pounds over the maximum stated draw weight.

One thing to make sure of that your arrows are properly spined and weigh a minimum of 5 grains per pound x 64lbs = 320gns.

After limbs bottoms out best turn back 1/4-1/2 back so limbs and riser has some expan room less stress on limbs and string.

Exactly what StikaAK said, 1/4 to 1/2 turn back after bottoming out just to be safe.
