Cool Runnings! - Pic Heavy
Not quire of the Jamaican Bobsled persuasion, but it was cool, and the dogs were running!
Most of you probably weren't wondering where I have been the past week
but we just completed a massive upgrade and go live for a customer of ours.
The deployment team consisted of myself, another fellow from Ontario, a guy from Argentina, and another from Romania.
We have worked together remotely, but this is the first time we've gone onsite together.
Long story short, we took the hospital down at 5:00 PM Friday, and handed it back over to the customer in the wee hours of Monday morning. Did Go-Live support Monday / Tues Morning and things were going great so we had some free time.
I made a few phone calls, and lined up an activity before everyone headed for the airport.
At first I was thinking we'd take them snowmobiling, but it was a bit of a process tog et everyone geared, rentals, etc... So I booked us a dog sledding tour!
The guys were more than stoked, and the pictures and smiles speak for themselves, an experience that they won't soon forget!
The guide was excellent, has a nice "beginners loop" on his property, does a safety briefing, and a safety run with everyone, then you get to pilot a sled. He Gives the history of his dogs, etc (he came from whistler, use to work for that fellow that put down all those dogs) he had left years before that happened and that's where his team came from, he currently has 18 and he runs races and does tours. Goes over why he uses the crosses, versus pure huskies etc. Makes it fun and interesting while waiting for your turn.

Fun pics! What a great thing to do for the guys that were visiting (as well as for the Ontarians, yourselves).

I took my kids when they were young. You can see how those dog are breed to love what they do. The same as hunting dogs.
Loved the pix
