Thanks for all the suggestions, I got one again last night but still not the one I'm after, might have to resort to the kitty litter trick, and Glen thanks for the shelter suggestion but the nearest shelter is 40 km away so that's not going to happen, another thing I'm not sure if a feral cat is considered a wild animal that you can't relocate over 1 or 2 km from its home territory, some of the trappers on here can probably set me straight on that. lol
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst!

I've trapped neighbourhood ferals since I was a kid using a good ol' Havahart live-catch. Dirt-cheap canned cat food always gets them, Friskies will work. I tend to go for the "shredded" variety because there's more gravy/juice in the can. This will also attract raccoons and the odd skunk, but it works great for feral cats. The issue with stray cats is that even though they may be a terror in the trap, it could still be someone's pet. My belief is that if you don't want your cat being trapped after it goes around ripping up outside furniture and crapping/spraying all over someone's deck, don't let it wander outside. Got no pity for people who let their cats roam, let alone roam without collars.
