Your talking renewal.. Not a new application... They tell you when you call them it will not show on the website for at least 45 days on a new application..

It use to apply for new applications as well, you call in, and they would look for your app, and get it added.
Seems our shorten wait times got a little to popular.
[Jan/12 update: it appears that due to the number of CGN users following this guide the CFC has changed its procedure and will no longer check for your application. It is still worthwhile to send your application registered so that you know the date of receipt.

I took my PAL January 18 and mailed applications on the first day possible. I called the RCMP a week tomorrow, and they approved the application while they had me on the phone. Assuming it comes this week, it's almost 2 months to the day. Just glad I got it well before turkey season!

Well, you have to give them credit. At least, they're trying.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Just got my PAL last month, I sent it in Dec 18, received Feb 10. Just under two months. Not bad considering Christmas break was in there.
Never showed up on the web site either, so I called once; all they could tell me is it was received and in process.
