Pike fishing east of Algonquin park?

Wondering if anyone can tell me of a lakek that has pike in it somewhere within 30 minutes of Whitney, lake St. Peter, manooth area. Not looking for any bodies hot spot, have two young boys who would really like to catch a pike while we are in that area this summer. Small body of water, as we will only be in a 14 ft boat. Thanks for any info.

Bob's lake has lots of small pike but I not to sure how far you want to go east of Algonquin. Its south of Hwy 7 On 38.

Baptiste/ Elephant/ Benoir, Lots of pike and although it's a big chain of lakes the multitude of bays ensure that there is protected water somewhere. York River is another option but I'm sure there are lakes closer to Whitney with pike.

You might be able to find some other lakes as well.

Yup there is a lake right near Whitney that has pike on the east side of the park. There is a bait store in Whitney that could point you in the right direction if they are still open, forget the name... I agree with Rugger, Elephant is now loaded with pike, and bark lake has great fishing, but again it's big...

Kamaniskeg Lake (Barry's Bay) has some pike. I've caught them just around Mask Island.

A few minutes further east is Albert Lake (just off Hwy 60). This is a small lake and very small boat friendly - I have a 10' row boat.

If you enter the park via the Madawaska entrance, there is a lake just inside the border that used to be famous for early season pike. The lake is still there but the entrance has been changed since I last went there.
When I want pike I just launch at the park in town on the York river.....
