Question on hunting with .22lr

Actually I have encountered both the Police and a CO when I had a Dominion Arms 12 gauge with me. The CO just thought it was an ugly gun. However the Police first tried to claim I had a Prohibited gun. Then when I pointed out that it was registered and wasn't a prohibited weapon he still claimed it was. I happened to have the receipt as well and told him let's call the Boy's in BC and get this business busted. Then he told me he felt it should be prohibited,, anyways long story short I left with the gun. He also let me off the speeding charge and missing front plate charge.

^everything these guys said. You're probably not looking for commentary on the quality of your rifle, but for the amount of headaches an AR-looking rifle might cause, I'd use something else. Personally, I'd suggest a Marlin 795 or Marlin 60 over a Ruger 10/22, but that's me. Reliable enough, just not accurate enough. For close range, it would be fine.

yes they are i find the spring weak, i purchased a 7 round clip online works great no feed problems.

I'd like to buy one - I have a 715 I won at a NWTF banquet last year, and the clip ic crappy.

Do you think any MNR officer would have a problem with the mossberg 715t? its a Plinkster in cased in a AR15 plastic shell. The clips look like AR mags. Would it be ok to use? or better off to buy a different one.

For what it is worth, I bought my daughter a plain old 702 Plinkster. It never fails to fire or to eject. A tack driver as well. Great little rifle, for only a hundred and fifty bucks or so. I wonder why we have had such good luck when the 715 seems to suck so much?

Your right.. We should also make sure we're WAY into the bush before taking a gun out of a case.. You don't want the public to see hunting happening.. Also when coming out of the bush make sure that your game is in a non see through bag.. A garbage bag will be a good idea. That way people will think your just picking garbage out of the bush... The last thing you want is someone to see the dead animal(s)... Also make sure you don't use any lightweight gun. With any sort of adjustable stock.. Or a rail that you could easily mount an optic to.. Its not hunting if your arms and shoulders aren't sore from lugging a double barrel shotgun around all day..
