Default Ottawa shore fishing help required

I will be traveling to Ottawa after the first Saturday in June and am looking for some help please in locating some shore fishing spots. I have checked the MNR Urban Fishing map of the area which has been helpful but I am looking for something a little more personal. My wife is up there on business so I'll have a few days all to myself!! I don't really care what I'll be catching as I am a multi-species angler and will be practicing catch and release as I won't have the ability to keep anything. I'm looking for any info, from carp and panfish to walleye, pike and muskie. Any help in locating fish would be greatly appreciated.

If you can drive, the Rideau River Lock system is great for shore fishing. Starting at Burrits Rapids down to Smith Falls. They all have docks that you can fish from and the fishing is pretty good (perch/base/sun)

Catfish in the Ottawa, walleye as well, pretty much everything in the Rideau too.

Where will you be staying? As Mike said do you have wheels?

I do have wheels and we will be downtown. I have done some research and am aware of Dows Lake, Petrie Island and the Rideau but I'm trying to get locations so that I'm not wasting time driving around...

Try fishing the islands off the Champlain Bridge (Remic Rapids). Also along the shore at Westboro Beach. Try the Filtration Plant Park at Britannia (below the Deschenes Rapids).

Head 10 minutes outside of Ottawa to Manotick and follow the signs to the Old Manotick MILL fishing is awesome off of it. You can head to Bate island and fish the remic rapids. You could head through Ottawa to Orleans and fish on Trim rd in and around the islands. Another awesome place (best i think) shore fishing go down riverside dr and take river rd too manotick. You can follow the road for 5-10 mins and get to the local bait shop for minnows etc. When heading down river rd take a right on Nicolls island rd. You can park on the left hand side. This is the dams, you can walk down the boat lock to the lower part , great pike and bass. You can cross over the road/dam and walk over to the other Lock and below it is prime muskie habitat. At the top near where you parked it mostly pan fish and the odd pike. Minnows work best.

George Saint Pierre coordinates are not required but GPS coordinates are welcomed! I'm not looking for anyone's secret honey hole, just an area that I'll get into some fish. Thanks for the responses so far!
