Starting my research early

I'm hoping to add an addition to the family hopefully within a year. I know there's a lot of great breeders in On, but am hoping for some first hand people with their dogs. I'll be looking for a black lab, and preferably started. I'm hoping to attend a few trials this year to meet and see some dogs at work. Thanks for any recommendations. Scott.

I have started two myself for retreiving, one took to it with no issues, best dog I have ever seen anywhere but sadly gone now as well as the breeder Toys Pride. The other - well he preferred to dig holes and rip up small cedar saplings. My third has just been retired from tracking, and I am on my fourth now - 4 months old (bloodhound in picture).

Either way you go, my recomendation is to research the breeder and dont be afraid to ask for references.

Good luck on the journey! 3 Black Dogs, Burly Girl, Krack A Dawn, are a few names off the top of my head of people to speak to about labs, breeders, and possible upcoming litters.
