The bear here are not out yet just wondering if late May would be better I always like opener but have no idea about spring hunting just hoping someone who hunted before could chime in thanks Paul

I was thinking of going as well but not worthed at all.
after talking to couple of outfitters it cost more than going in any other province for spring bear hunting.

Yes I noticed that too.....I might have to miss out this springs bear hunt too.... But if I lived closer I think I would set up during the last week of April or 1st week of May (weather dependant)
Good luck

I live right in the heart of it all, but I just have to many other commitments to throw one together this year, I'll buy a tag and hunt as opportunity comes up, but push comes to shove with the family / hunting time division and since I can hunt bear in the fall, I'd rather skip a full fledged spring hunt and head out for Turkey and Spring snows.

I will be going mid-May. Currently baiting is going to be the issue with all of this snow. There is at least 4-5 feet in the bush still!!!
