    Did she this this ?

The most noticeable differences between white-tailed and mule deer are the size of their ears, the color of their tails, and the configuration of their antlers. In many cases, body size is also a key difference. The mule deer's tail is black-tipped, whereas the whitetail's is not. Mule deer antlers are bifurcated; they "fork" as they grow, rather than branching from a single main beam

I would say she is mistaken.

There is zero % chance a wild mule deer is in southern ON. Im not even sure its legal to farm mule deer in Ontario.

One would be more likely to see a moose or an elk over a mule deer. And that would still be a miracle.

Most likely a dark coloured whitetail.
How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Yea, and if watch them bound away, they remind me of " Pepi le pew" from the old Bugs Bunny cartoon
