    Default Found some Deer Tracks

    Hadn't seen any tracks yet, Till today. This was Just off the highway in North bay.

    Sounds like big deal but being a southern Ontario resident, what does that mean? are they leaving the winter yards returning to home base or first time deer in that area ever???

    He's talking about leaving the yards. In my area, 99% of woods have been devoid of deer for the last 3 months but the yards are now starting to break up.

    Oh I see, down here, lots of farmland so its not uncommon to see deer almost daily on my way to work.... Hopefully they made it through the winter well

    With the early winter, a lot of farmers didn't get all their corn off, so the deer have had lots of food and have faired well. Farther north, out side of the agricultural belt, might be a different story.

    Ya didnt see hardly any tracks at all in my patch from Feb-through today. Im hoping that the case that they are all yarded up and have just been staying out of the bush
    The deer are here, when I'm not near
