The Bass Pro in OHIO is massive and very helpful staff that know their stuff. Prices are excellent and selection is out of this world and waaay better than Cabela's.

Get 4-5 guys together to chip in for gas and driving, spend the day, it's worth it

cabelas in michigan is only a 4 hour drive for me...rather that than even to bother asking for service at Bass Pro in Vaughn. Hope the new caeblas in barrie will be good...however, from my personal observations and reading BP reviews here, it is largely service that everyone complains about...and well, I think that the Cabelas will be hiring from the same employee pool as Bass Pro...

I have been in the CT that sells firearms in Peterborough but really did not take any notice on how there are stored other than in the glass case. Believe BassPro and Sail just just have them on the gun rack with trigger locks, then you go to a store like Accuracy Plus or Williams Arms and it looks like the old Kingston jail all the bars and buzzers. Maybe for there own insurance rates not mandatory.

The bars and buzzers are mainly for their own safety.

Got their Turkey Hunting section figured out to say the least! Went to TSC, and Accuracy Plus in Peterborough, only to find the prices were way out of my league. Stopped by at Canadian Tire only to find everything I wanted for MUCH less than Accuracy Plus. Got my Remington 12g Jelly Head choke for $59, 3 pack of calls for $49, and a decoy for $35. There was a massive range of items, decoys ranging from $20-$90, all different styles and brands of calls, and ammo was $4 cheaper than anywhere else. My 12g 3" #4's were only $13, at TSC and Accuracy Plus they were $17.

Sounds like you have a solid CT up that way. Here in Sarnia they aren't even bringing in Turkey Loads, what a joke... I'm about fed up with this CT! That's my 8itch for the day
