Has too much time on their hands
That's certainly a dead deer/bear/moose!
Have you tried penetration tests with that load?

No I haven't Pete. The bullet is designed for deer sized critters so I'm sure they would be fine. The recommended load for that bullet is 110 gr T7. At 105 gr 2F Goex I'm under that load.

I'm assuming those are 1" squares and a 2" bull.....which makes it a tiny target for open sights at 100 yds. The peep sight helps, but still it's a target that disappears behind the front sight post, so your really shooting centre of mass.
I have an idea for a target paper that I will try this week, that may help with the sighing issue. I need something for my 8 mm as the sight pin will cover a 3'" bull at 100 yds
Your having far to much fun out there HA....and making us all feel like were missing out

Happy and envious to see you are having fun with your ML.
Hopefully my turn is just around the corner.

Yes they're 1" squares and a 2" bull. Very small at 100 for sure, so I use a 6 o'clock hold but it isn't precise. I'm going to use a 3" bull next time out to see if that helps.
But it is fun none the less!!!

You must have read my mind....the diamond shape bull is close to what I have been thinking of doing. Bring the bead up into the pocket for a more consistent POI. Looks like it works.
That's good grouping for even 50 yds..at 100, that's really good shooting.
My wife is working nights for a few days so I can't do any shooting yet...did get the range cleaned up and some new panels put out today....ready for Wed !!!
