Thwarted Attempt
Well today while hunting over one of my hundred dollar Avian X turkey decoys something in the air caught my eye. Thank god my reflexes are still quite good as a red tailed hawk was in a full dive with the intent of making a meal of my decoy, I had to jump up and yell, he turned of about 10 feet from the decoy. Cool to see, but almost needed a tube of seam seal

I have had that happen as well, mind you not to a hundared dollar decoy. When I was out Coyote hunting this January had a hawk come diving at my mojo.... all I could think was this is cool, but please leave the decoy alone!!

Funny you say this, I had the exact same thing happen to me on opening day with the exact same decoy. The only thing was I was watching a jake come into the field while a hawk actually hit my decoy and realized it couldn't pick it up!! The jake sat there for about 5 minutes than ran off. No damage to the decoy thankfully. Kinda funny to see too.

My buddy was at hullett marsh this past weekend, and some doofus's planned a dog trial of some sort and he had repeated dogs chase off turkeys and than one dog grabbed his brand new jake decoy and tore it to shreds. It was a 90$ brand new decoy and they wouldnt pay for it.
Ive had coyotes come pretty close to decoys before but we scared them away before anything happened.
My name is BOWJ..... and I am a waterfowl addict!
