I was out last fri and mon and it was windy as heck, gusting to 50km/hr or more. Found the birds stuck to the woods, which didn't help me because the farm I'm hunting is open pasture with tree lines. The bush is on surrounding properties so my only hope was to get them moving between. Hoping when I go out next week they are out in the fields like I'm used to seeing them. I did have a tom gobbling and strutting for 45 minon Monday but he would come closer than 100 yards (ie next tree line). Happy hunting.

Heading out early this afternoon in the rain, according to weather network the sun should pop out between 5 and 7pm. Should be hunting.

Yep! These ol' bones have developed a distinct intolerance for sitting out in the cold and rain. LOL

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Never went out Tuesday morning in the rain and when I checked the trail cam pics today o'le tommy was right out front about 10:30 after the rain quit for a bit. I've shot more birds right after the rain sitting against a tree with the 4' square tree umbrella. Went out for a mid afternoon sit and a walk today but notta. Maybe tomorrow.
