Must have been Spring fever.
Dogs never cease to amaze me.
Never have any trouble getting my dogs back from a run until to day.
The 13 year old refused to come in. She must have felt overdue for activity time. I've been sick so haven't had her out in a week .She did her slow jog for two hours, and then swam the 300 yard pond- freezing cold,+ waves due to high winds.
Unbelievable.
The other setter who is only allowed a 10 minute run due to recovering from TPLO surgery, escaped before I could get the leash on, and joined her mother , the 13 year old. She's not limping so ........
Both came in when they were good and ready, saying, "So what's the problem?"
Didn't have e collars on as they haven't needed them for years.
This all happened because one didn't get a decent run for a week and one has been restrained for 2 months due to surgery.
Do you think our dogs need exercise?
edit: 13 not 3

Everything you mentioned above is really not that important. Here's what is - Did you take those poor pups to Timmy's for a timbit, after their Polar Plunge?

My dog is so damned good looking the ladies in the drive through fall over themselves trying to give him timbits. Little bugger has this figured out and always makes sure to stick his shnoz out the window. He likes the round ones mostly.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
