Ottawa river pike
My son and I decided to spend some quality time together and do a bit of fishing this morning. The weather was perfect with slightly overcast skies and a gentle breeze. We launched the boat at a public area on the Bonnechere river near Renfrew and motored into the main body of the Ottawa near Castleford. We trolled for awhile and "Tex" hooked into this fine fish with a chartreuse coloured Cotton Cordell Big "O".
This was the only catch of the day and we made the mandatory stop for poutine at a chip stand on the way back through Arnprior. All in all a great father and son day.

Yes that's the one. My son also gave the resident sea gull a couple of fries as we sat on the pinic table by the road...lol

Got out myself today go a small Pike and caught a big carp, going to take my young lad out next week just 8 km from my house.
