Agreed,then along came the Peterson Liberals and things took an immediate nose-dive until the Rae NDP,then, it tanked,completely. Mike Harris" PC's resurrected the fiscal balance under Jerry Oullette until they cancelled the spring Bear hunt,Ernie Eves did nothing with it and it's been back in the tank under the Liberals,ever since.

A little dated but kind of paints the picture. This really only looks at the 20 years 1990-2010.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, the Ontario government’s total planned operating budget was approximately $119 billion, a 72 per cent increase since 1992/1993. During that same period, however, MNR’s operating budget (including MNDMF’s forestry program) declined by 22 per cent and MOE’s budget dropped by 45 per cent (in 2009 constant dollars).
Kind of sad when you think how much Ontario has changed since the 90s, let alone the mid 70s, when really, Davis was the last to show "love". Kind of ironic to think it 1980 when I was acepted to Sir Sanford Flemming and had big dreams of being a CO
